Description
Phil and George Burbank are brothers and wealthy owners of a Montana ranch in 1925. The two are polar opposites. Phil is a rough-hewn cowboy while George is an educated dandy who prefers a suit. Although Phil displays the exterior of a rough-and-tough cowboy, he is a deeply closeted homosexual. Tensions grow between the brothers when George marries a widowed woman, Rose, who has an awkward son, Peter. Peter is slender and effeminate. Phil seems to develop a crush on young Peter. In the meantime, Rose develops a severe drinking problem as life on a Montana ranch becomes dysfunctional.
