In the 1970s, Greg Laurie started a movement in Southern California to bring the hippie generation into the church. Laurie meets a street preacher who aims to get to the wayward youth and bring them back to church. The church tries to redefine truth and liberation. What followed the liberation was social tensions between different generations and ways of life. Laurie worked to ensure these differences were used as a unifying factor and not use it as a means to divide the church.
